This week we caught up with Hernandez to ask him about this season and what he did to prepare for it. After playing in Germany for his first two years of high school, this standout receiver is looking to make a name for himself this season.
This past summer Hernandez was determined to increase his explosiveness and improve his overall game, after spending time at camps, and in the weight room he did just that. His overall goals were to improve not only as a player, but help be a better teammate as well, hoping to help his teammates improve.
Hernandez is an athlete you want to be on the lookout for, not only is he a speedster on the football field, he also plays basketball, baseball, and runs track.
This season the Spencer High School Owls are looking to improve on last seasons 1-9 season, and according to Hernandez are determined to make history by not only having a winning season, but making it to the playoffs as well. They want to take this step by step, game by game, improving every week.
Hernandez truly enjoys football and loves spending time with his teammates on and off the field grinding together to be great. His favorite part of playing is knowing that what he is doing on and off the field is not only for him, but for everyone who has supported him and pushed him through his football career.
Going to the next level is one thing Hernandez is looking forward too, and is in contact with coaches at the University of Kentucky, who are looking for Hernandez to be more explosive and create more plays. His favorite schools are Ohio State, and Kansas State.
